They reference a historical period in design. In the early 20th century, the expansion of electrification into the domestic home provided ample opportunity for designers and inventors to make new consumer products for once tedious tasks. With no precedent for what, say, a 'toaster' should look like, designers turned to silverware as reference—a language that the consumer would understand. Items we now associate with cheap plastic were given the 'Tiffany' treatment and embellished with ornament.
The large unit has a battery which lasts approximately 8 hours, while the small lasts around 12 hours. They can be left permanently connected without reduction in the battery lifespan. They use a USB C connection.
